SA Southern Darts Orienteering Squad

SouthernDarts

The SA Southern Darts caters for young orienteers just entering orienteering (novices)  until they move to high school or the year they turn 12.

Sometimes we train in two groups to allow for experience.

We hope that members will enjoy orienteering while learning the basics of the sport.

Gradually you will progress to more difficult courses as  you become more experienced and confident

You will progress to the Junior Arrows when you are old enough.

The Southern Darts train about once a month.

In addition the Squad conducts Introduction to Orienteering days and camps at Very Easy, Easy and Moderate orienteering skill levels.

The events at which training will be conducted in the near future are detailed below and at others there may be a duty coach to assist Squad members.

For more information, or to let us know that you would like to be a part of the Darts, contact the

Southern Darts Coach: Erica Diment email1

Upcoming events:
Here are upcoming dates for 2019

Watch the enews and the facebook page for more information about the next opportunity.

Night Champs

September 21st is Night Champs.

You can do a night course and have some fun and then you can camp nearby (right near the place where you start from the next morning for orienteering). There will be toilets at the campiing but no other facilities.   Bring your own everything.  (especially a torch)

The information for the event is : https://eventor.orienteering.asn.au/Events/Show/7860

I suggest that Darts register for course 6 and go as a group with at least one adult. (Things always seem harder at night time) . If you are going as a gorup register under one name and let the registration team know who else is in the group when you register on the night. Zita will go with a group and you cnajoin in to that group if you would like to.  Just look for Zita at Registration.

Please let us know if you are wanting to do this so that Zita does not leave without you.

You need to register by Wed 18th in Eventor (follow the link above)
