Coaching and Training
Orienteering SA offers a wide range of Coaching & Training activities that suit all ages and abilities. Explore the various menus to see what is available. Help for newcomers is also available at all events.
Some formal training activities are listed in the Event list at the right, other general fitness and less formal activities are listed on the general Coaching and Training page.
OSA also offers coaching programs for juniors and in schools, either in response to school requests and through the Sporting Schools program. See the various schools related menus for more information.
For those new to orienteering, you can choose a recreational/social apprach to orienteering, or more competitive as you becoming more skilled with your orienteering. Pathways for adults and juniors are shown below. Junior orienteering can start with the youngest in your family with Kid-O activities that are held at some events (see the Kid-O page). For juniors from 8 - 12 particpate in the Darts training, and for over 12s the Junior Arrows.
