  • The June edition of the SA Orienteer can now be viewed online. The Newsletter includes an update on planning for the Australian Orienteering Carnival and an overview of some of the planned courses. There is also a report on the recent Flinders weekend, and many other articles that should be of interest to readers. The new Newsletter format allowed a YouTube video to be embedded and other web-friendly features to be included. Go to About Us -> SA Orienteer.

World Orienteering Day was celebrated in South Australia on May 23rd at Thorndon Park. P1000897The objective was to find as many countries (controls as in  photograph) as possible within 45 mins. PhotoGrid 1527073716348

Photographs also on our Facebook Page wod logo 160 Each person was assigned a random country and the winners were: 1st New Zealand 3770 points represented by Max Grivell, Phil Hazell, Aylwin Lim and Jacqueline Stephens. 2nd USA 3490 points represented by Joanna George, Peter Kreminski, Harry Waterhouse & David Tilbrook. 3rd Argentina represented by Erica Diment, Abigail George & Adrian Uppill.  Full Results (please note results in a score event are determined by score not time)can now be seen on the results page.
