March 4, Tatachilla Lutheran College, McLaren Vale

Over 100 orienteers enjoyed the perfect weather conditions at last Sunday's Sprint Champs, organised by Tjuringa.

Paul Hoopmann was the mapper and course setter. Thanks to Paul for some awesome course setting in what many expected to be a relatively easy environment, but which instead proved to be a challenge with many route choices and deceptively easy-looking legs that turned out to be not so easy on reflection as shown in Course 3 below. Bridget Anderson took on the role of as controller for the event.

Sandra and Julia ran the catering which made a profit of $270, which will go towards the Junior Arrows fund.

Full results and splits are available on the OSA website here. Winners will be presented with their certificates at next week's OSA AGM.

Antonio Garcia is excited to finish just behind Bob Smith.

Below, a pensive controller Bridget Anderson contemplates finishers as others intensely review the courses!
