The OSA Junior Orienteering Camp was held over 4 days from Monday 14th July (Urban Sprint training) to Thursday 17th July. The Tuesday and Wednesday were forest training in a mixture of native forest and Pine forest. Various skills were practised - understanding control descriptions, map memory, compass use, attack points, relocation, as well as fun activities - star relay and maze.
The camp culminated with the Camp Champs which this year were held at Pymton, Rockleigh. 23 juniors competed in the course that they would normally run at ASOC (Senior Boys, Senior Girls, Junior Boys, Junior Girls) plus an easy course was set for the Darts.

Well done to everyone for an amazing 4 days of orienteering! The junior are a wonderful and easy bunch of kids to look after with resilience, persistence and a good sense of humour. Planning for the 2026 camp has started!
And special thanks to the overall camp organiser Kate Marschall, and lead coach Jack Marschall, assisted by Zoe Carter, Robin Uppill and a number of parents.
