Welcome all you intrepid riders

This is the last MTBO event for 2017 and doubles up as the State Champs, with some prizes and much prestige up for grabs!   All welcome, even newbies

 SI / electronic punching will be used.  Bring your SI stick if you have one or else we will provide one.  A narrow piece of string/ elastic may be useful to tie it to your finger.

This event is suitable for both mountain bikes and CX bikes.

Go solo, or form a team.   Each person on a team must pay and receive their own map.

Start – Blackwood Football Club, Craigburn Road, Blackwood

Format –This event is utilising the traditional line courses, where you go from start -1-2-3 etc

Time-line -      9.00am- 9.30am - Registration

10.00-10.30am Starts as allocated after registration.

Course Categories: (age as at 31st Dec 2017)

1- 22km ..   Open Men   

2 - 18km ... Veteran men 40-59   Junior men17-20   Open Women

3 - 14km     Masters Men 60+  Veteran Women 40-59,  Junior women17-20

4  -   8km .. Sub-junior men 16 &under;  Sub-junior women 16 & under; Masters Women 60+

 Prizes only go to solo competitors but pairs are welcome.

 Entry procedure:

To secure your pre-printed map(s), please email names of each entrant, club (if applicable),year of birth; age class or course you wish to enter and your contact phone number to kayhaarsma@hotmail.com by midnight Wed 18th October.

Senior Member $20, non-member $25  

Junior <20yo member $13, non-member $15

 ‘Member’ means current orienteering club membership as recognised under Orienteering SA.

 Some rotating map holders will be available for hire at $5.

 Controls will be flags with SI boxes attached.

A risk indemnity form must be signed at the event with payment before you get your map.

Enter as a Group or as an Individual.

At most events you can enter on the day at the event, however some events require pre-entry and this is listed in the event information.

Bringing a larger group - if you are coming in a group of 6 or more people (e.g school group), please let the contact person for the event know so they can ensure that enough course maps are available for your group.
